Alix Landais, CFA
Alix is an award-winning professional bringing 10+ years' experience in Impact Investing in Emerging Markets executing board, senior management, investment, and consultancy roles, with a specific focus on Africa, the Caribbean, and South Asia.
Alix is currently an Investment Manager at British International Investment, the UK Development Finance Institution, where she is responsible for the management of Special Situations across BII’s Private Equity and Private Debt portfolios in Africa and South Asia. Under this capacity, she is working closely with Boards, Executive teams, Investors, and Government representatives to support private sector businesses operating across Infrastructure and Climate, Industries and Technology, and Financial Services.
Alix previously worked for Adam Smith International (based out of London, Freetown, and Kinshasa), IMC Worldwide (operating across London and CARICOM countries), the Institute of International Finance (Washington DC), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and Ernst and Young (Paris).
Alix is a CFA charterholder and holds a Master’s in Management from Neoma Business School (France). She also studied International Management at the FGV-EAESP (Brazil).
A passionate promoter of Africa and D&I, Alix is a Trustee at the Africa Centre and a mentor for the UK’s asset management industry race and ethnicity initiatives EnCircle and City Hive Cross-Company Mentoring Scheme. She is enrolled in the Investment Association’s Black Leaders Programme.
