Ariel White-Tsimikalis is a partner in the firm’s Technology and Life Sciences group and leads Goodwin’s Equity Capital Markets & Public Company Advisory Practice in London. She is also Co-Chair of the Firm’s ESG & Impact practice. She specialises in advising founders and growth companies (with a particular focus on those in the Tech and Life Sciences sectors), investors (both VC and PE) and underwriting banks on equity financings (including private financings, private placements, IPOs and secondary offerings). Ariel has spent time on secondment at global investment banks Goldman Sachs, Jefferies and Citi.

As Co-Chair of the firm’s ESG & Impact practice, Ariel regularly advises listed companies, investors and portfolio companies across the entire lifecycle on their ESG obligations, particularly on social and governance matters. Alongside her work at Goodwin, Ariel sits on the Parker Review Committee established by the UK Government’s Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy to focus on proposals to increase diversity on the boards of public and large private companies in the UK. She is also a member of the London Chapter of The Links, Inc, one of the US’s most prestigious not-for-profit organisations dedicated to volunteer service and charitable work to support the Black community.

Drawing on her Greek and African American heritage, Ariel is particularly passionate about supporting diverse founders accessing the international investment community and uses her expertise to help support the Tech and Healthcare ecosystems across both Africa and Greece, in particular. She is a member of the UK Department for Trade and Industry’s Africa’s Working Group which is focused on promoting London as the optimal venue for raising capital for UK firms active in/or considering Africa. 

Ariel is ranked in Chambers and was included in the 2023 Powerlist in the City, sponsored by J.P. Morgan, highlighting the top 25 most influential Black executives in the Tech, financial services and legal sector in the UK.
