Donna is the Chief Operating Officer of Kah Capital where she is a member of Management Committee. She is responsible for firmwide marketing strategy, business development and client service among other administrative duties. Donna has over 30 years of experience in investment banking and asset management where through her various leadership roles, she has gained a unique combination of legislative, regulatory and international experience. Prior to joining Kah Capital Management, Donna was the President of Smith Graham Investment Advisors where she was responsible for marketing, business development and client service. She completed a 30-year career as an investment banker where among other roles, she was the lead corporate finance professional underwriting hundreds of billions of dollars of corporate and mortgage debt, as well as equity initial and secondary public offerings. She was an Executive Vice President of CastleOak Securities, L.P., President of M.R. Beal & Company and a Co-Founder of Loop Capital Markets. At these firms, Donna has been responsible for her firm's participation in the securitization programs of the Government Sponsored Enterprises, the FDIC, the NCUA and the Resolution Trust Corporation. Notably, she formed a joint venture with a hedge fund and advised on the purchase of $125 million of whole loans from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's first residential loan sale, Maiden Lane 2012-1. She also worked closely with the United States Congress to pass legislation regarding the business of the economic recovery to create new capital markets revenue streams for diverse firms. Donna began her career in mortgages at Bear Stearns where she was promoted to Vice President selling mortgage-backed securities to banks and thrifts. Donna currently serves on the Board of Directors of FuelCell Energy (NASDAQ:FCEL) where she is Chair of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Audit and Nominating, Governance and ESG Committees. Donna's community outreach includes her serving as a member of the Executive Committees of the Greater Houston Partnership and the United Way of Greater Houston. She is a former member of Fannie Mae's National Advisory Council, a former Chair of the Export Import Bank of the United States Sub Saharan Africa Advisory Board and former Chair of the Board of the National Association of Securities Professionals. Donna received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Yale University.
