Rufaro Chiriseri is head of fixed income, British Isles, for RBC Wealth Management.

Based in London, Rufaro leads a team that manages discretionary fixed income portfolios and provides fixed income strategies and implementation for advisory accounts. Rufaro is a member of the Global Portfolio Advisory Committee, which is made up of RBC delegates around the world and sits on the British Isles Investment Committee.

Rufaro joined RBC Wealth Management in 2011 as a portfolio risk analyst. In 2014, she took on a role in the Model Portfolio Solutions team, where she focused on the implementation and delivery of discretionary products and services for both centrally managed investment models and bespoke portfolios. Rufaro took on a role in the Fixed Income team in June 2017.

Rufaro holds an honours degree in International Securities, Investment and Banking from the ICMA Centre at the University of Reading. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds the CFA Society UK Investment Management Certificate (Level 4).

Rufaro was featured in the book, The Female Lead (Volume II): We rise by lifting others. The Female Lead is a non-profit charity dedicated to making women’s stories more visible and offering alternative role models to those often seen in popular culture.

Outside of the office, Rufaro is a co-founder and Treasurer of K.U.K Alliance, a small charity established in 2017 to advance health, education and empowerment in Zimbabwe. In 2019, Rufaro took a four-month sabbatical and travelled to Zimbabwe to focus on forging new partnerships and connecting with the charity’s beneficiaries. Rufaro is a winner of the 2024 Zimbabwe Achievers Awards in the UK within the Community Champion category, she was recognised for exceptional contributions to community development and various charitable initiatives

In her spare time she enjoys swimming, diving and is a CFA UK mentor. She is also bilingual, being a native English and Shona speaker.
