Simone N. Santiago is a Managing Director and Co-Director of municipal trading on the Eaton Vance Municipal Bond Team. With over two decades of experience in the investment industry, she is responsible for managing and trading high yield taxable and tax-exempt municipals, as well as overseeing and trading for the team's $1.3B Tender Option Bond Program. Simone is also involved in trading specific states in national funds and corresponding state-specific funds. She started her career at Eaton Vance in 1999 and holds a B.S. degree from Emmanuel College. Apart from her professional career, Simone is passionate about promoting Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) in the workplace. She currently Co-Chairs the Fixed Income Diversity & Inclusion Subcommittee, which aligns with her belief that a diverse organization fosters innovation and drives business growth. She understands that diversity leads to belonging, where everyone feels included, ideas are respected, and employees can bring their authentic selves to work. Simone is an active member of her community, serving on the Massasoit Community College Foundation Board and the Boston Lyric Opera Advisory Board. She advocates for providing young people with the opportunity to attend college without financial burden and exposing them to the arts. Simone believes that exposure to the arts at a young age promotes essential life skills such as confidence, creativity, teamwork, empathy, and compassion. She also volunteers with The Love Life Foundation, providing food and essential items to the homeless, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to the community. Simone N.
